Good evening.

Talk about feast of famine. Nothing for days and now this. Marca another Spanish outlet are saying that Luka Modric has agreed terms with The Special One at Real Madrid.

The unsurprisingly quote free article cites the lack of Champions League football as an influencing factor in the move.

The fee they are estimating in the region of €35M.

The Spanish press have a habit of printing bullshit, much like ours, if you believe it, that’s your prerogative but their job is to sell papers and the more inviting the headline the more people buy-facts and the truth however are secondary!

Our wage bill has risen somewhat in the last 3 seasons, dont think we have much in the way of a transfere fund, but with only Defoe as a striker I think were screwed unless we spend big.
Strikers cost money and we need 2 that’s for certain.

    Please no AVB.
This little man can not control the dressing room.
Modric will be very hard to replace , Fagin Levy
hardly spends real cash to get player of the same
quality. We will be downgrading, I would rather
    keep the brooding Croat.

    Keep it up

Id have been happy with Martin O’Neil to be honest, its not a hard job with the squad we have, so long as the players like and want to play for you!

He who ‘parks the bus’ at a meaningless home game-sorry mate, that did it for me!

      • Paul says:

He only parked it as we would have smashed his bus to bits had he drove it anywhere!

        • essexian76 says:

Paul, he could’ve gone for it-they had nothing to lose from the game, and their fans should’ve been given something to watch, but not that surely?

        • Paul says:

Of course he could have gone for it, but thats us, O’Neil didnt want them humiliated and lets face it any team who comes at us could get slaughtered, but i agree, its not in keeping with the game.
We just need a coach who is likeable, no need for a massive big name coach, O’Neil or Venebles could have done a job, both likeable both take no shit from players, both hold there own in the media.

Personally, I don’t care who the manager is, I judge the team’s on the field performance, that’s what I pay to see, that’s the whole point and purpose-not whether so and so’s got a baggy face or a limp for that matter, it’s results and style that matter
