Talk about feast of famine. Nothing for days and now this. Marca another Spanish outlet are saying that Luka Modric has agreed terms with The Special One at Real Madrid.
The unsurprisingly quote free article cites the lack of Champions League football as an influencing factor in the move.
The fee they are estimating in the region of €35M.

but it wiont have happened yet because he has not yet used enough time to try to get the 35 to 40. he will always try to push the price up, as he shd
so unless someone has said an amount he wd settle for, eg 4o mill now or i go to someone else tomorrow there is no way the deal can be done yet
the sad fact is he is only a 25m player but he has to go because of redknapps ineptitude
I don’t know why people think when a £40 million price tag was slapped on Modric last season, the price should remain the same another year down the line, another year less on his contract, another end of season where he’s decided he doesn’t want to play for Tottenham.
His value is diminishing, as is his appeal – I only want players who want to play for us. Modric doesn’t so it’s time to cash in while we still can. £30 million or so is decent money, and we aren’t selling him to a Premiership rival.

Thankfully he hit that one sublime pass with the outside of his foot against the Spaniards that anyone other than a Croat C/Fwd (Oh and Crouchie) would have buried. That probably put 5m back of the 10m he’d lost.
If Levy lets him go I’d say it was about right. He blackballed the guy into staying but somewhere in there would have been a conversation about the CL. Blocking him for 2 years is taking it a bit far.
