He’s The Best Thing To Come Out Of Poplar Since Angela Lansbury

Hello fun seekers.

First up a huge thank you for yesterdays comments. I put that picture up without thinking it through. I hesitate to say innocently, even.  In my defence how could anyone have known how funny a seemingly a pretty dull picture of a few men stood about a ten year old Merc could be?

After sleeping on it, my best guess is that this was an Earth Wind & Fire tribute band being told there was no ‘arrangement’ with with the pub next door and …’all this is permit holders only, sir’.

I see in today’s Redschnapps Bugle The Sun that the Arry camp are repeating the same damage limitation tactics they employed in relation to his non-appointment as England manager.

Apparently Arry is contributing to the delay in him being given the opportunity to build a dynasty as he’s a very expensive commodity. If you have recently undergone electroconvulsive therapy then this makes a lot of sense.

Levy feels Redknapp was responsible for failing to secure a top-three finish and a guarantee of Champions League football because he was distracted by talk of becoming the next England manager.

This is harrowingly accurate. Clearly this bit wasn’t proof read.

But the Redknapp camp insist the target issued by the chairman was a top-four finish and that it was hardly his fault Chelsea became kings of Europe to pip Spurs to the fourth Champions League spot.

Oh I see, this is like you were supposed to collect the kids from school and bring them home. Nobody said anything about not giving them them beer and cigarettes in the car on the way.

In spite of heart surgery and a gruelling court case earlier this year, Redknapp remains committed to transforming Tottenham into regular Champions League contenders.

Oh please, not the  health card again. And the reason his court case ever existed in the first place and was grueling or otherwise is because of the utterly bizarre manner he conducted his personal finances.

And, deep down, Levy knows he will have to tread carefully because Redknapp remains very popular with the White Hart Lane faithful.

HahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahaHahahhahahahahahahhahahahaha

Back in the real world, Brazil got beat 2-0 last night and the game threw up two goals of interest. Here’s Leandro Dimebar for starters. It was erroneously called as being offside.

And next up is a sex on toast like finish from the boy Giovanni Dos Santos.

As that ball went in; if you were able to tune into a frequency not too dissimilar to the one which dogs can hear, you would have  just catch Arry saying, ‘Well he bladdy well doesn’t do anyfink like that for us.’

And so I rest my case, m’lud.

We still blame Harry ! Anser these questions
1 who got us to champions lge in 201O
    2. Who refused to spend money when ther
3 who held on to last minute for cahill and bulked at the price
    4. When sitting ready to mount a title charge who didn’t buy
    5. I here we have no money to spend on transfers r lack of it well I ask were as all that money gone for the past 3 years

Answer to all 5 questions lands firmly at mr levys door and don’t give the crap Harry lost a 13 pt lead ! Utd lost an 8 pt lead and city lost lead early on as well 4th place should of been enough for champions lge it wasn’t hard luck call it what you will. I think it’s time we all got on mr levys back cause he’s the one who’s not getting r spending the money 3 years since we spent 10 mil on a player ! That not the signs of a big club see utd have signed the guy from Dortmund and hazard away to Chelsea and we still have nothing !

    • We had enough in the players we had to achieve third. This was the problem. The Newcastle game proved that.

      • Paddyspurs says:

Ronnie if we had enough in the players we would have won it ! We all know we didn’t strengthen ! End of story 3 yrs 3 yrs and not one 10mil plus player is that good enough ? If it is we should just accept second best !

I honestly believe if Harry had shown a little loyalty in return to that shown to him by Levy, then irrespective of later results, there wouldn’t be any friction between them.
In a way it’s Levy’s fault for not putting him out to grass or at least demanding to know his intentions the moment the England issue arose!

Id take second or even third best Paddy.
I would have even take 6th gladly had we played with balls and Harry showed commitmen. We didnt desert Harry,he deserted us

    • Hart says Spurs, Benny says LOL says:

We could have spent £70m + on Carroll and Torres and not been any better off……call me old fashioned but I’d rather win the league not buy it…..

      .
Here’s an analysis of how much Tottenham has spent on transfers over the last few seasons during the summer transfer window, and where the club finished each year in the Premier League.

      2007
      Spend – £27.7m
      Net spend – £29.6m
      Premier League Position 2007 / 08 – 11th

      2008
      Spend – £33.2
      Net spend – minus £10m
      Premier League Position 2008 / 09 – 8th

      2009
      Spend – £22m
      Net spend – minus £1.55
      Premier League Position – 2009 / 10 – 4th

      2010
      Spend – £14m
      Net spend – £8.25
      Premier League Position 2010 / 11 – 5th

      2011
      Spend – £6m
      Net spend – £13.5

      Allegedly.

So, what are we saying? Harry to be replaced? i understand that there are doubts about him after throwing away a 10point lead in third but who are we to go for if we did get rid of him? I am a 35 year old spurs fan who has seldom ever seen the quality at whl as what we have seen recently and want that progression to continue, however i am agrieved at the way we self distructed in the last quarter of the season. Whether you think all the England talk should not have affected him as bad as it did, the fact is it would probably affected any other manager as much as it did Harry. I say give the guy another full season with no distractions and see what comes of it.

    • The odds are it would be the same as this one. Brilliance and chaos, chaos and brilliance and a manager totally committed to Tottenham with eyes and mouth everywhere else but

  • nobby nobbs says:

i dont get all this RedknapP support. The point is this aside from all the tactical shortcomings IF A BETTER OFFER COMES ALONG HE WILL LEAVE US IN THE SHIT BECAUSE HE IS HARRY REDKNAPP.

  • Boy Charioteer says:

Chelsea after Hulk in the paper this morning. They are like THE SMOG MONSTER in one of those Japanese films of the 60’s. Just gobbling everything up and spitting out radioactive bones with a half life of 10,000 years. Something really has to be done about this, because it doesn’t matter whether the manager is still Redknapp or some other replacement with debatable abilities. We just can’t compete with this.

    • Alspur says:

…and Chelsea are just a two-bit Shitteh: wait til they start spending, then we’ll really be in the sh*t…

  • Thats why the Harry AWOL or MIA was so relevant and huge. IF we had copped the 35 mil or whatever,we would be more liquid to add some quality. This way we either have to suffer and get lucky occasionally, like a bunch of other clubs, or sell the club and compete

    • Boy Charioteer says:

As we have no luck at all, apart from the bad variety, it looks like the only bit of the equation left is the suffering bit.
