Maybe Willian But Certainly No Leandro Damiao

Good evening.

The boss gave a presser earlier in the day here are my thoughts upon it.

Everybody tells you that modern football is rubbish, I’d argue we’re making real progress – if only in the evolution of football speak or as my old man called it, ‘footballees.’ Where we were once told of endless poorly parrots, spoke to men who claimed to have orbited the earth’s moon and of course more recently survived The Day Of The Triffics, we are now living in an age where Michael Dawson is recognised as being ‘a player of an immensely human dimenson.’

And they are wasting all that money looking for life on Mars. I tell you this mush; we’ve got all you could ever want right here.

For all the grim emissions online today from the fretters and bed wetters, it puts things into perspective when your hear players spoken about so respectfully. Who knows, maybe this is what intelligent people do. You know, show some in the hope they receive some back.

Defoe is so obviously a man waiting to hear if he’s had a stay of execution. What does Villas-Boas say? He acknowledges his qualities and again says nothing that could be vaguely twisted to convey any devaluation in the eyes of the Club.

Modric is clearly still being held hostage in a dimly lit cellar at an undisclosed address in Enfield. That’s the spirit.

Willian is clearly being negotiated for. Is this guy all that? Well, interesting that the boss repeated the fact that he wanted him when he was managing Cheatski.

Leandro is a dead duck. Think rice pancakes. Think Hoi Sin sauce and finely cut scallions and cucumber. You’re thinking of what someone else is having for their dinner. Adebayor, you better have a belter, old girl.

I want the leandro talk to be true but I can’t see us parting with the money touted last week or his pricing being much lower,if it did happen I imagine once again “bitter spurs expert” redknapp will interviewed from the window of his y reg cortina from a boot sale in Kent talking of how he would have loved to have signed Lawrence damuarno, lovely lad from brazil. Either way for all the negative knockers out there it’ll soon be tears before bedtime. Looking forward to Saturday & I’m more than optimistic of something good or 2 coming through the window

Maybe levy should hope the money sprouts legs and takes the pitch, because that’s teh only way we’ll see £20m+ play in Lilywhite.

      ;)

I think we will see a £20M+ player then ratty will be released from the cellar with & not before. Redknapp wasn’t allowed to choose expensive toys for good reason, sofar I’ve been happy with our ins & outs this window. I hope the clear out continues & we get some more quality in

I don’t mind seeing Jenas go, maybe Bentley can stay/go/stay/go/go…stay? doesn’t matter I suppose. Bostock has potential, don’t know why since 17 he’s being living in the land of the cellar dwellers underneath the bench. Gio should surely stay but he may eventually go, Dawson can go. Danny Rose appears he’ll be on loan for the rest of his life. Thudd will be back despite his lack of athleticism, he has much to offer in several other areas. At the end of the day, we should not be content in challenging for 4th or we may end up 6th, we should aim for 1st, and to do that, we may well need to sign two players over the £20m mark.

LMAO. Maybe squirt oranges in his eyes and a small old bald guy shout Spanish phrases at him repeatedly so he can acclimatise himself with Spain.

After many painful years of going through the transfer window with Levy expect the unexpected and dream of nothing. We will add up with a lot of 11th hour posturing and Adam Johnson flown in on Alan Sugar’s jet.

  • Andy M says:

Yet again a summer of promise has disintigrated into false hope. player link overload with no fact or substance.

New Manager, New backing, a real belief, struck with a large dose of reality.

For how long now have we needed, wanted, dreamed a number 9 to be worthy of the number 9 shirt

We need an out and out striker, a goalpoacher.
With Modders of to Spain, a creative midfielder is a must, as is another wide man, central defender an of course a Goalkeeper (under the pension age).

    Levy and co. AVB.

    Lets not dissapoint again.

Lets not continue to be the lmost, the oh so close, the what if………
