I’m Stunned He Didn’t Opt For Adoption Given The Importance Of The Game

Good evening.

What becomes of the broken hearted? It would seem they end up supporting Tottenham Hoyspur.

The game took two turns for the worse before the kick off as the news broke that both the boy himself Gareth Bale and Mr Demblele were going to both out of action. On the Bale end of things I have to express a dismay. I know people who’ve had to miss funerals due to work commitments.

In my limited yet hugely valid experience of childbirth the father being there tends to use the, ‘I was there, wasn’t I?’ as some sort of a statement to reaffirm that he still cares and still adore a woman who they have long since begun to loathe and frankly see as un-adorable. Bale’s absence to me was just yet another example of modern football being far too interested in what footballers feel or care.

Am I blaming the defeat on Bale? Of course not. Am I using him as a whipping boy? Of course not. Just sayng it’s symptomatic of things. Things that aren’t good.

Huddlestone’s gifted but lethargic calling card is expired. Dempsey looks woefully shy of the mark. Walker wants melting down and turning into glue. The boss needs to have more faith in his plan and less in the players. Make substitutions sooner.

I’m off for a cold chicken sandwich and some crinkle cut chips. It’s the way I roll…

Yep. When fit, we are formidable. But we don’t have the depth to withstand the loss of key players against top sides…. yet. Winter window should be interesting.

BTW – Anyone else worry that Ade is no longer motivated after signing his contract?

Are you suggesting he has been un-picking himself?

There is literally no way of knowing how motivated he is if he is on the bench. When he came on against Villa he made a difference right away.

I’m all for this AVB meritocracy and real competition for places, but at home Defoe cannot play up on his own. It doesn’t work nor has it ever, under this regime or the last, ever worked…
Bingo Norwich beat Arsenal…well that’s cheered me up..

    AVB poor with his subs.
    our subs were poor.
    AVB can’t talk. can draw.
    our strikers are shite.
we need a kick up the ….
    no steel at the back.
this has been waiting to happen.

Firstly for the record I want AVB to suck seed …
I mean suceed of course ..do i ? yes I do i think…. but the reality is that we have lost two world class players in Modric and VDV and replaced them with a potential world class player in Dembele and two potential championship players in Sigg ere son and Dumpsy… . We have become a squad of workharders but we lack the creative flair of a VDV or Modric.. Chelsea had an abundance of riches on display in Hazard, Oscar, Mata and even Torres who can at least hold the ball… we brought on Livermore for pieboy( in fairness to bloater he didnt have a bad game but his hairstyles are worse than Bennyboy and thats no small challenge… Defoe looked sharp but as everyone on the planet except AVB knows cannot lead a line… Adebayor should have come on earlier but looked about as interested as a Rooney in a library… the expression on his face when he came on said ” Oh do I have to ..really … oh joy”…. fact is we still need a creative midfielder(maybe a pushed up Dembele) and we still need a striker who can hold the line and score a few.. until then we will play tippy tappy all the way to the last third where we will turn sideways and backwards and end up playing it to our keeper….
