I Told You So!

Good evening.

Given the mood in the Spurs camp getting coherent information is a blessing. So a sincere thank you to ‘Mr S’ who kindly shared the news yesterday with us that the boss is going to get some proper support from Levy & Co. This manager isn’t going to be binned on a whim. He was selected for a host of reasons and it is ambitious to suggest that much aside from the poor bar steward’s resources have changed.

Daniel Levy remains behind the Portuguese boss and is ready to give him significant funds to spend in the transfer window.Villas-Boas wants a new left-back, central midfielder and a striker. – Daily Star

Tottenham’s chosen agents have already begun work on trying to lure the club’s top targets to London.

– Daily Mail

CSKA’s Russian Euro 2012 star Alan Dzagoev, 22 – a summer Spurs target – remains on Villas-Boas’ shortlist and Roma’s Bosnian Miralem Pjanic, 22, is a name being considered. Daily Star

Andre Villas-Boas will be handed £20million to revive Tottenham’s faltering Champions League ambitions.

– Daily Mail

Nothing leaks unless sanctioned is what we need to understand in relation today’s spoon fed newspapers who are running with Andre Villas-Boas getting not only time but cold hard cash in January.

If I hear booing, it will cause me pain in my soul… I do not think these pessimistic wastrels understand the club as some others do, forgive me for thinking we are a special club but that is what I feel. We might not have won dozens of titles but we have an essence few clubs can rival, I see us as a class removed from the likes of Chelsea fans and West Ham’s vile rabbles, we are slipping down the road, we risk becoming the latest example of the lowest common football supporting denominator!! I expect the boys to rally in the next week. – ‘Mr S’

    Seems that the Spurs home crowd are rather hostile to AVB and his methods right now. Unless results and performances improve, AVB will be getting it in the ear at the Lane.

    Levy is no mug. He knows if that continues he is next in the firing line. He will act before that.
    I would imagine if we lose the next 3 games then AVB will be gone.

    Personally I think a draw followed by 2 wins will keep the wolves from the door for a few weeks.

  • Victor Meldrew says:

    Give AVB the 20 mill and tell him to go on a very long holiday far far away to some distant galaxy. Put the tea lady in charge and we will probably start playing good football again. Anything will have to be better than the sterile rubbish we have been served up all season. For Gods sake we are Spurs. I have seen better football on the Hackney Marshes, played by junior teams. I agree that AVB means Always Very Boring and Always Very Bad.

  • Paul says:

    yes and we are going to get three real quality players for £20mill!!!! You are a deluded fool just like our chairman and manager!

  • Boy Charioteer says:

    All the money and power at Man City’s disposal and it does not make one iota of difference. They are still out of their depth in The European Championship. Chelsea too, this year fortunately.

    • PeterTheStoreyTeller says:

      They will win the Prem IMO,money does help,love to see Lewis change his ways and help to buy big.

      • Hartley says:

        Money = Win…….incorrect
        Money = Buy…….correct

        If you want to win things, stick with Spurs
        If you want to buy things, go shopping or support Cheatski or Citeh…..

        Peter, why are you assuming Joe Lewis has any interest in us. Joe Lewis has nothing to do with THFC,he doesn’t even like football mate. If he’s got an interest it’s only profit making as he’s the bossman of ENIC, who are after all an investment company that happen to own us. His remit will only ever be the eventual sale of the club for a profit-and I’d guess spending out fortunes on building a new stadium out of his own pocket would be a bridge to far IMO-He’s getting on a bit you know and I’d assume he’s like to see his days out in the West indies and not a cardboard box under Caring Cross arches

        • Ronnie Wolman says:

          Football IS a business. Thats a fact. Most players look to better themselves financially.They may kiss the badge but five minutes later when two scouts come knocking they are gone.
          Owners,unless they are using it as a hobby,are business people too.Running like a business.
          Unless you have experienced these two situations first hand you would never know what you would do.
          As it is,most football fans(me included) live vicariously through their team otherwise we are not fans.We would like to see our heroes through rose coloured glasses and think that kissing the badge is a sign of real love.
          Its bollocks
          Its a business.

      Sadly I think Chelsea will still be lucky AGAIN and get through theire group

  • PeterTheStoreyTeller says:

    Do not think Modders is a happy clapper,gone from a star to a bit player,was not very good last night.
