I agree we are not far off and we are settling a bit now what with the players knowing each others names and all. I thgink Modders is still coming to terms with a little less room now that VDV is here, but once those two gel…..
As you know I have been an advocate of a forward line shake up and we need a lead forward to cover or complement Defoe. I think tho’ we should see the back of PSB before Pav; over the past few weeks I’ve seen a “knack” in Pav to be there and nick the odd chance. He’s still lazy and profligate but he can put them away and he can also work in with the other forwards, PSB however is not such a team item any more. He’s as selfish as Defoe, but less effective. Works hard and can cover ground as a lone forward but Crouch is also doing that well and unselfishly and VDV works well with him. So for me he’d be the one to replace.
As for replacements, I’d go Huntelaar as I think he’s the ‘type’ of forward we need and I think he’d also work well with VDV…..but hey. I’d slum it with Fabiano at a pinch….. :pinch:
Maybe a left back too, but we are getting close to a really fantastic squad.
