Krankies’ Back And Here’s Both Goals!

Nico Kranjcar has been subject to a number of transfer rumours of late.

Depressingly, I see yet another one of these new Spurs blogs has struck a new low and even C&P’d from the NOTW that Newcastle are also in for him. Look, arrival of VdV was bound to cause ripples, but it’s a grim game afoot here that Krankie is targeted as the man on the way out. Presumably on the basis he could probably command something resembling a transfer fee. Unlike some.

Tottenham have a lot of football ahead of them. And as I get kind of bored of pointing out to those gentle souls who think one player per place is a viable plan, that requires depth. What about suspensions? What about injuries?

You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to spot this guff a mile off either. Anyone notice how so many alleged ITK’s had no real info to peddle in the summer, so they came up with a new spin? Quite cunning if you were only trying to deceive a 6 year old. It goes a little something like this…‘The two clubs have agreed a deal but it won’t happen until January…’

The NOTW are many things but they aren’t too daft. But this is actually funny. They’ve taken it one step further. In a blissfully quote free piece is this little gem: ‘The Toon want the Croatian international to sign a pre- contract deal [in January] so that he can move to St James’ Park for nothing next summer.’

Yeah and I’ve got Sylvie Van der Vaart popping round on Monday to arrange to give me a back rub in 2011.

This is probably a stupid question, but if the blindippers do go into admin, are the players then free agents, a la Portsmouth. And consequently, we’d be in with a shout of picking up some of their best players….CL and all that?

If the points get deducted expect to lots of LFC lots as lots on ebay…

They are heading for the high court this week :finn: , if they think Gilleete and Hicks are going to clear off quietly losing 100 million pound they have another thing coming. The chap with the big cigar looks just the type to start throwing money around, yanks  always talk big but have deep pockets and short arms.

        • Chrispurs says:

I on the other hand, have short pockets and long arms;and if there’s money in the pockets, it means I’m wearing someone elses coat.

It’s very “Harry” isn’t it, to use the prwess to cosy up to G&H when the potential of having good relations with them might help us to…”lend them a hand” with some of their brighter prospects.

Good old Harry, doesn’t miss a trick!

Chris – it’s unlikely the players will become available…

The administration is a double-edged sword: 9 point deduction but all debts cleared off, so the club will be 300 million quid more attractive to purchasers…

In fact, some purchasers may even only be willing to buy the club if it DOES go into admin, just to save 300m…

…and they’ll pounce and buy the club the second it enters admin, so there won’t be a long gap in which players could get unsettled…

  • Good to hear Kranks contract is longer than notw claimed. Harry has said he will need him so it’s obviously an issue thats arose.
    We’re spoilt. :)
If Kranks goes any replacements would be very ready to challenge (or better than) the 1st 11.
The Olympic Stadium would need around £150m spent on it to be suitable as a football stadium so I wouldn’t worry about any loose chairs…
We’d all prefer to stay in North London (Levy too, I assume), but that would cost at least £250m more. For me, it hinges on the Sky deal and how they get on in court re monopolization. If they do not continue to pour the money in it might be unfeasible to stay.

I hope we hang on to Krankie, his technique is world class….so how do I register here fellas I have looked for a good 10 seconds and can’t work it out….cheers

Fuck me…that’s how you take a penalty! None of this strolling up tentatively and scuffing the floor bollocks. The second goal was fantastically taken too, he aint played much at all this season, yet still looks on the ball! Be crazy to let this guy go anywhere, a fantastic addition to our squad.

I was waiting for the headline “Tottenham yids beat the Yids” but thankfully no one has sunk that low. Why has no one commented that on his penalty taking ability something we have had some problems with at times. Harry loves to juggle, play favourites and also redeem those in the wilderness just as they were most unhappy e.g. Pav, Hudd, Bale, Defoe, Crouch though Bent was one too far. So Keane may be the one too far by let us watch the redemption of Kranks and in time we will need to see which list O’Hara, Dos Santos & Bentley are on … but if Lennon is having back trouble then Kranks will be happy …

Hmmmm… you probably haven’t read it, because it would be undeniably racist…

        Hi alboy,
        Any luck with the tickets?

        • Alboy says:

Hilariously, three of us applied, two got them, my application was 8 points short… ;)

Still, I heard the allocation got increased, since then – is that right?

        • Alboy says:

Just checked the official website and the allocation’s still 5,000… dunno where that other rumour came from…

As I said, I’ll be arriving in Milan in the morning, so I’ll have all day to scout for a ticket (or, more, if you still want a pair)

Lemme know if you want to swap moby numbers…

      • moosetheyid says:

        Yeah, I was 16 points short :-(
Applied for 2 tickets from that ticket site I gave you. Haven’t heard the allocation’s been increased, thought we still only had 5000
        Are you still going?
