The Officially Licensed Pre-Match Prattle

Good Greebling,

West Brom indoors then and I promise to do my best to not be the stuck record I have become in such instances. You know what I’m talking about. We go to work in the most proper fashion against a good team (and Arsenal) and then we act like confused goats against a so called lesser sides.

If we play against this lot like we did against Le Arse, we’ll smack this mob 4-0 or more. West Brom aren’t awful, far from it. They sit 3rd in the Barclay’s Premiership Form Guide.

Might I be candid? I’m getting somewhat bored ‘hoping’ that we get our act together when playing this type of opposition. Our strikers need to wake up and detach themselves from this ‘one of them games’ mentality.

Let me hopefully hit home with this one…

Arsenal are a bunch of whining gits, apologists and blah blah blah’s because the management allows it. Let’s distinguish ourselves and win purely because we’re fundamentally better. No ‘bad luck’ no ‘tough to break down’, no ‘they’ve been on a good run’.

Just whack ’em and BIOYWBAC!

I’m definitely uncomfortable with that if you’re suggesting another 442, and I agree with ODM that 451 suits our slow centre midfielders and VdV, while minimising the damage of actually having to play some of our lacklustre ‘strike force’!!

On another note, I see HH is getting bored of talking about the right mentality for playing opposition of a lower quality… reminds me heavily of a certain Chelski in the Ranieri years, plenty of class in the squad and able to upset anyone, but often losing 2-0 away to Middlesbrough etc…

Point is it took a master tactician like the wonder boy Mourinho to make anything happen. You see where I’m going with this?

Nope, im all for 4 -5 – 1 as this accomodates our best players.
in this formation, both Sandro and Thud can start along with the likes of Modders, Lennon AND VDV.
It looks impressive on paper we just need that one striker on top to put in a shift and lennon and VDV to supply the support either side of him.

Real Madrid didnt even play with a striker against Barca. They had Ronaldo up front basically on his own. With Pepe in defensive midfield and alonso and khedira also defensive midfielders they actually only had 3 ‘attackers’on the pitch in Ozil, di maria and ronaldo.
We could in theory do the same. Shut up shop at the back with Sandor providing the steal and giving THud and modders air to breathe life into the middle of the park and spray the ball like a cat on heat.

With Lennon and VDV providing width, vdv cutting inside behind the striker and Kaboul marauding the Right flank, I think all in all a 4 -5 -1 works for me.

I see exactly where you’re going, old man.

My reservations lie with the players. Arry has his limitations but my reservations edge it as being the player’s fault.

After watching the shower of shite this afternoon, it’s quite clear we lack the winning mentality, Management and players included

don’t feel like laughing but this from 101 great goals: ‘With nine minutes remaining the Baggie shit back for a second time’

    shit shite bollocks fuck

billy big bollocks performance against a load of journeymen

no chance of top 4 now, fuck it may as well throw the towel in and let the scouse wankers have 5th place and the liability of the thursday night league.

time for major changes at spurs now I think, we’re not even close to the top 3 and results like today prove it. Levy will be happy with 5th or 6th and that’s the problem.

    • Kluffah Yid says:

I think there might come a point when we realise that our defence is performing much worse than last year, makes the striker problem seem small fry.

I’m gonna blame Harry for not running a tight defensive ship. You can make that happen with most groups of players, just need the right manager

      • jfdit says:

listened to the game on the radio, we’re also lucky we didn’t concede a pen and we didn’t really go for the jugular after JD’s goal

I was informed by someone who knows ‘arry & levy that we were going to sign top class reinforcements in defence & up front …………..

we signed pienaar & tried to sign charlie adam

        fucking mugs

Liverpool will finish above us, time to weald the axe Danny

    • jfdit says:

If wet spam get relegated our new striker will be no other than a certain Robbie Keane

I want to see big changes at spurs, new owners with real ambition required not bullshitters who think we should be in east london

Danny Levy like to sell at top value but cannot see the bigger picture by also buying at top value. Always looking for the deal our danny – well get used to mid table old son because that’s all that squad is going to get you.

As for buying new strikers, ‘arry has signed four since he landed, none of them produce the goods on a weekly basis

supporting spurs is like groundhog day
