Individual brilliance could win the day. My money is firmly on Cheatski doing just that. Drogba is in bitching mood, Torres wants his career back. We have the one dimensional Defoe and 3MP.

Pav is shit?
He offers more threats upfront (Defoe & 3MP are both easily readable!), he takes shots from the 20-25 yards out (Defoe rarely do this as he prefers to walk the ball into the net!, 3MP never do this!!), he has quicker feet and his left foot works as good as his right, oh yessss…he sulks at times..and Defoe didn’t??? He scores more goals than both Midget Defoe & the 3MP combined. He’s the better option we have at the mo!! Need I say more?
I agree that Gomes is a clown…at times. But most of the times, he’s the HERO! I don’t blame him totally for the goal that not suppose to be. I blame the men in front of him for allowing Lampard to take the shot. I’ve seen defenders (I mean GOOD defenders!) blocking shots with their bodies!! Ours…? The best they can do is to stick out a leg, come on…FFS!! Daws has been brilliant, but he didn’t tonite. His clearances are s**t! More often than not his clearances are picked up by the Chelks and offerred them better attacking options. Charlie is clearly not match fit, Gallas…SUPERB!! and BAE is dearly missed!!
Modric and Sandro…out of this world! VDV…as selfish as ever. His freekicks, corners and passes were shite! (and he the only soul in the team who can take all these kicks??) and he was clearly out of steam at the 1 hr mark. Typical of HR he berated the MOTM Sandro for having the audacity to push forward and score a 30 yard screamer, putting our mis-firing strike force to shame, Harry did this in full public glare, the Brazilian was understandably uphoric and ran accross to the technical area to celebrate with his manager expecting the cunt to be pleased. Did you ever think that he may be giving him tactical instructions? Sandro was our defensive midfielder, he scored a great goal but still needs to fulfil his duties.
jfdit, I agree about the subs, I thought he may have brought on Crouch for VDV and try to win the game. There again if I were a Madrid fan I wouldn’t have been happy that the ‘Special One’ played such a defensive team against Barca (CL) when he has some of the best attackers in the world available to him.
calm down boys it’s all part of a master plan
champions league was just a dream, a mishap, it’s all over now for the foreseeable future, we can concentrate on staying in the the top 8 which considering our resources and average crowds is the best we can expect. Just keep giving the club your money for our overpriced shit quality tat/overpriced tickets and all will be ok.

We didn’t lose the CL place today, we lost it when we failed to bring in at least one reliable striker last summer. That is the beginning and end of it. However poor the rest of the squad may have performed on occasion, whatever mistakes Gomes may have made truth is that had we purchased a half decent striker we would now be comfortably in fourth place.
One solution is to knock out a couple of bottles of 2003 McLaren Vale,Two Hands, Angel’s Share.
It’s worked wonders for me. I’m even willing to forgive Defoe for being so profligate.
I refer to his women not his goalscoring opportunities.
I’ll never forgive him for the chances he’s missed. I don’t care about the Misses he’s chanced.
