BMJ’s Fulhaming Hotspurs

Afternoon all.

It took approximately 27 seconds from the confirmation of old Marty for the A Team type speculation to kick in.  Longer than I expected.

In 2007 a crack commando unit were transferred out to various naff teams by a depressed Chairman for crimes they they bloody well did commit. These men promptly escaped from a number of sh*t clubs and to a Cottage in Fulham. Today, still wanted by insane managers, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire BMJ’s Fulhaming Hotspurs.

Ba dada daah dumdum daah.

So who do you believe will part of Chairman Mo’s brave new world? This popped up on Twitter yesterday and some interesting names were thrown into the mix. PSB was regarded as nailed on.  Timothée Atouba’s name was mentioned and candles across the globe were lit at the mention of *****.

Who do you think he’ll land and will Staples be adjusting their ordering strategy for the South East if Chris Pictionary Hughton becomes his ‘numero dos’?

halleluija, a 2 in 22 striker just what we need, I think we’ll keep what weve got well swap keane for god knows who at the moment he’ll go to fulingham along with BMJ’s other lane lovechild Jenas, where he’ll be joined by atouba and hamadoui. Did anyone see reto zieglers gone to juve?, hopefully we’ll sign two strikers one young, one whos more proven, God only if we could get Falcaou, then we’ll sell who evers doin the 5hitt3st out of the 3 weve got to whoevers doin the 5hitt3st out of the usual group mackems, wolves, newcastle for extorsionate prices in January, COYS and ‘arry stop facking about

Transfer news just in from an reliable source at Aston Villa state that Gareth Barry is on his way back to Villa from City who have agreed terms with Barca for Xavi because they have agreed terms with Arseanal for Fabregarse….You heard it here first….

      • kojac says:

you’d be mad to sell xavi or selling to city for god knows what

i’m not sure how city can afford these wages when the platini fair play comes in and chelsea,i assume whoever finishes 5th & 6th in the prem will be in the CL

        • LosLorenzo says:

They can’t afford it. Not really. Not according to the rules. They’re just banking that UEFA will give them a free pass to play in CL despite being in breach of regulations.

Considering that by 2013 they will own every player ever pictured in a poster on a 13-year-old’s bedroom wall, I think UEFA will find that they can make an exception.

        • LosLorenzo says:

          That is my flippant take.

If you want a more serious analysis, have a look at this article from October by the great if long-winded Swiss Rambler.

yes well we know its just to stop anyone breaking up the status quo,man city have timed it nicely, lucky them

        • Lodvic says:

isnt the assesment period for the new rule 3 years? meaning that city (or any other team) can spend like mad for the next 2 years and hope the champs league revenue and selling dead wood in the 3rd year can balance the books.

If they spend big and dont make the top four being banned from europe could be a blessing (no europa)!

        • LosLorenzo says:

          Lovdic:
“Financial fair play measures will be implemented over a three-year period, with the break-even assessment covering the financial years ending 2012 and 2013 assessed during 2013/14, and starting with the assessment by the Club Financial Control Panel of all transfer and employee payables in the summer of 2011.”
sourceall the way at the bottom
Most clubs’ financial years end during off-season. This means that “the financial year ending 2012” starts this summer. The exact date will vary depending on the accounting principles in place at each individual club.

Some clubs may therefore have a strong incentive to spend early, before they enter the financial year covered by the UEFA regulations.

On the flipside, other clubs may have a strong incentive to wait until they enter their new fiscal year before selling players.

Those two points are mitigated by the fact that modern football transfers aren’t usually settled all up front, but in stead consist of payments made over a number of months or years. These delayed money transfers WILL be included in the financial statements covered by the financial fair play regulations.

  • Breaking into the Uruguan national squad from the U20 team, scoring twice in 3 games. 49 appearances at Palermo, scoring 10 times…age 20 years…

looks tasty…what did the guy above say?

    • Rossicio says:

2 in 22 last year and a 1 in 5 strike rate for Palermos not excactly the 2o goal a year striker we need ! at 20 might be worth a punt but id rather get Damiaou. If we lose Defoe we’ll have the slowest strike force in history so hernandez might be an alternative to damiaou whos more a target man/boy. We certainly need someone with pace up front in the squad who can get behind defenders and not wander offside

  • kojac says:

is youngs contract nearly up at villa, how come its all 16m for young everywhere for utd the richest club in the world,if we wanted young it would be 28m

i think villa looking at martinez is a good idea from lerner as opposed to the same old names,he tries to actually play football which always helps

who is going to be first to splash the big cash and get things rolling,we know it won’t be levy

  • abe says:

Old BMJ was quite a fan of Jenas too. Re crouch, do you think Harry will say he wants to get rid of him. No way, but if a decent offer comes in, and he gets a new striker, I am sure he will be off.
