Mornin’.

The News Of The Screws are running with Arry’s keen eye (the left one) has been caught by Jack Rodwell.

There’s a number of issues here. The figure quoted is near close to hysterical as you could possibly make it. This naturally is based upon the fact he’s English and Everton somehow managed to get him to autograph a 5 year extension to his contract at the end of last season.

The likely hood of Everton flogging him off is I would suggest high. What Moyes could achieve with the nigh on £20 million Rodders is more likely to achieve would arguably be more use to him than hanging on to the player himself. Your average Toffee in the street is likely to say that’s not true, but to paraphrase Mandy Rice Davies, they would say that, wouldn’t they?

Rodwell is undoubtedly good stuff and if the impending departure of Sgt Wilson – a man clearly damaged since his personal tragedies – would facilitate the numbers as suggested by the NOTW, then it might be a good idea.

My hesitancy is that I see Wilshire, Wickham, Rodwell and Henderson out there yet can’t help but wonder if we get involved we end up buying the lemon.  Oh, I’m a cheery soul.

Why do we care how much we pay? The question is is he a good buy for the team and the future. Yes on both counts.

  • Jimmyringo says:

Rodwell wouldn’t consider a move to WHL, he’s better off at Everton. ‘Arry just gets linked with every player in the world because he’s a wheeler dealer scank. He should concentrate on keeping his own players and stay out of Evertons business. Everytime we scout a player he comes sniffing along with all his cash. Terrible clueless manager.

Its fucking paper talk you nonce. Get some perspective in your life. And I’m afraid he would consider a move to us, as, at the moment, we’re a bigger and richer club that is a lot closer to competing for honours than Everton. Maybe YOU should stick to your own blogs.

    • Aaron says:

Also, when was the last time YOU scouted a player and Harry came sniffing?? Only player we’ve took with any remote connection to Everton is Pienaar.

      • Connjam says:

Seem to remember Kyle naughton mate. He was as good as signed. Fees agreed, terms agreed then Harry offers more to Sheffield utd and deal is off. He then loans naughton out the next day. I think you’ll find too that spurs have quite a way to go to get as big as Everton.

        • Connjam says:

And you can keep pienaar. He’s set the prem alight since his London move. Just as he set the world cup alight. He’s a mercenary who left a club which picked him off a Dortmund scrap heap and suited him down to the ground. He even played 90mins week in week out. So you’re welcome to have him warm your bench.

At this present moment in time, with our financial stability and current crop of highly talented players, we are a far more attractive proposition than Everton. If you can’t see that, you’re blind

I think your comments about Pienaar should draw a line under your schoolbot arguments. Pienaar left a club that idolised him, where he was first on the team sheet- to join a club as a bit part, back up player. The truth is that although he was one of the toffee munchers best players, he is actually not good enough for Spurs. He may be a decent player, but I’m sure most Spurs fans would agree that he’s not enough. Good enough to be top dog at Everton, not good enough for Spurs. He will languish on the fringes for another season or two, then we might let you have him back. To a hero’s welcome.

Quite a way to go to be as big as Everton…..Shit man, how longs it gonna take? I’ve got plans.

      Like Pienaar never considered us?

    • ken e winks says:

You can keep ya scrawney little nobwell, He wouldn’t get in to our training 6 a sides.

  • Ozvaldo says:

Everton are a bigger club than us, I like Everton alot. They have a great manager who wins because he’s talented not because he just throws money at the club like Redknapp does. Lot of respect for Everton. Well said jimmy ringo. It’s true.

    • Spurstacus says:

Moyes wins because he’s talented?? He’s won what exactly? You and jimmy ringpiece eh?

    • Aaron says:

Don’t refer to Spurs as “us” – You are so obviously an Everton fan its unreal. How did your shot at the Champions League go?? Toughies those qualifiers aye?

      • Ozvaldo says:

Aaron I’ve been going to spurs for nearly 20 years son, don’t tell me I’m not tottenham. The fact is I’m delusioned with our club, Harry just buys anyone he can throws them in the squad and hopes for the best, pienaar is a case in point. Everton are an honest hardworking side who batter us everytime we play em, cracking team. I’ve never stop being spurs but you’ve got to love Everton.

        • SpoletoSpur says:

Before last season Everton hadn’t beaten us since 2008. Not exactly battering us everytime is it?

        • Spurstacus says:

You are clearly a poor mans bin dipper. I can hear the merseyside whine in your comments. Whine, whine, whine, whine, whine. Doesn’t matter what you scousers say, you always sound like you are whining.

        • Ozvaldo says:

Evertons history speaks for itself! They are vastly superior to us in every single way. We have to realise that. We’re a club who to be honest are a nothing club, can’t see us doing anything next season especially with that moron Harry in charge. And as fans we are thick as fuck, let’s be honest.

        • Spurstacus says:

See what I mean? Whine, whine, whine, whine, whine. We buy your best players and stick em on the bench. No wonder you are whining.

    • snuftywoof says:

well go support Everton you fool

    • ken e winks says:

Double agent…. That is good but he’d throw money if he had it, believe it.

  • Cant see this one Harry, unless they are planning one for the future.

Hes to inexperienced and wont bring immeidiate relief to the first team.

No in my gut im sure they will look to bring in players with experience and a regular first teamer.

I like Rodwell but hes simply not good enough, maybe for Everton!
