‘We’ll Agree An Amicable Farewell’

Good morning.

It’s Corluka talking to the Daily Mail.

Redknapp chose Walker and doesn’t see me in the defence, so it is logical to sit round the table and agree an amicable farewell. I will talk to people in the next few days.

‘I don’t have the will again to wait months for a chance, to fight for a position when I see that the coach has other ideas.’

Walker hasn’t been perfect, but he has been a step up on Corluka. Charlie started off brightly and you’ll recall that there was a decent mumble on City forums that he was decent chap and would be missed when he joined us.

His early showings were promising. There was a certain self assured manner about him. But that didn’t last long and chancers like me started comparing his athleticism with that of pantomime horse’s.

His undoing was his total predictability. Like Begbie before him he made the same runs up the wing and largely achieved nothing very memorable with them.

But I say this. If he’s on what, the wrong end of £30k a week and cannot be bothered to earn the right to play – then he might want to dwell upon the wisdom of announcing this to any prospective purchasers.

Stupid boy.

There have been more times this season and last that I’ve been screaming for Chug Chug Corluka to come on to lock down a 1 goal lead over a tense last 15 minutes. Slow as he may be, he adds a confident and calming defensive dimension to the squad. Then again, we don’t really play as a squad these days.

We played United at the Lane. (I think it was) BMJ decided to leave Charlie on the bench because he felt Ronaldo would skin him and played Zokora instead. Zok was promptly subbed at half time and Charlie came on and didn’t let Ron have another kick for the game.

Personally I think Charlie is deceptively slow (ha ha!), but he’s a good defender. I’ll miss him.

He has to relies its a squad game and if Harry uses his subs wisely he should get game time if Walker gets injured

I like Charlie – but I never got the idea behind his chocolate factory, or his peanuts. Kyle is fine, promising and not a Wonka but learning and doing well.

I believe that if we are to finish 2nd we need to stop the league after the next 3 games

:daumen: perhaps if our Manager set an example by keeping his gob shut then the players would follow….. :ninja: I just can’t get that out of my mind…. :-p

        • Hartley says:

I have no idea what is going on….?.?
The first line was in reply to Uncle Kev, down below….and the Kylie reference, albeit slightly wrong (not an ar5e fan so ain’t up on her song titles) was in response to brother Essexian….should have read ‘I just can’t get that out of my head’….

        • Hartley says:

Not ‘Uncle Kev’ but Steveo1987………the lunatics are taking over the asylum, which incidentally was my first thought when ‘our Arry’ first took over at WHL…night, night all :winke:

not a bad defender or player but full backs need to be wingers too these days,

i’d keep him but of course because of the euros in the summer people will want to move and try and play otherwise he’d probably get his head down

he should be playing against the greeks shouldn’t he
