Bad News For AVB Haters

Good morning.

This from a proven decent source and bound to irritate the hell out of the naysayers, bedwetters and other lingering Arryites. It’s my understanding that Andre Villas-Boas’ position at the club is very much secure. For how long? Well not just this season but the next one too.

This considerable support is conditional of course. If the boss were to be linked with a vacancy elsewhere and suddenly went missing, spent his day whoring himself to the press, neglecting his THFC duties or otherwise managed to drive us into the relegation zone then you can guarantee he’d be toast.

But the plan as I understand it is to factor in Boas’ resources, review what support the Club can offer and to forge a path that will offer longevity.

Will this initiative designed to offer stability please those that claim to wish Spurs well but not the manager? Who cares. At this rate QPR will be back in the Championship next season and there are bound to be openings for supporters who want to sit in cosy, old fashioned stadium telling each other how staunch they are.

The worst thing that happened in recent times to this club was Arry screwing us over so blatantly after giving us a taste of Champions League football. Suddenly too many clowns believe it’s a god given right and have been acting like outraged consumers ever since. Spoiled children each and every one. Empty seats at Europa games and only boos to break the frosty silence during league games.

The very idea that you can separate your support for the Club and the manager is beyond parody. Oh, of course unless you’re following the Blackburn Rovers model.

We will finish above Arsenal this year. Whether that’ll be enough for us to qualify for the Champions League remains to be seen, of course.

Dear long-suffering Spursfans and eternal optimists

How does it feel like when every Tom Dick and Harry kick around Spurs -not to mention Arsenal !!!
Do you still have faith in Levy and AVB? Do you blame AVB? If you do, please ask yourself who appointed him knowing his achievements at Chelsea? But who sacked Harry and other recent managers and who sold our best players without replacement and who appointed AVB anyway? Levy – a Spurs fan? A tough negotiator? Or just a money-maker tough businessman? You, the fans to judge.
I’m just another long-suffering Spursfan who sees no prospect for Spurs under Levy.

Unless you’re a teenage Spurs fan you don’t have a chance in your lifetime to see your beloved Spurs above your north London rivals – consistently, if you’re stuck with Levy first and then AVB. Spursfan.

    More pro AVB crap.

Clearly now Levy etc have settled for mid table rubbish. No further investment planned in Jan from what I hear.

    Please come back Harry.

Harry Redknapps blue & white army boom boom boom boom

    AVB out, Levy out

I don’t know where all this “laughing stock” numptyism is coming from.

We have always been cast as unrealistic dreamers. What’s new?

One day…we’ll be back to our best. I’ve been saying that since the late sixties.

What irritates me is the fact that the facts of the past year have not fully been “open to the public”.

Did Levy hate Harry? Did Harry piss Levy off asking for a longer contract whilst DL was grieving and during a period of dreadful performances by the team – caused in the main by a dalliance between HR and the England job.

There is obviously a clause which prohibits the facts coming out. Both HR and DL have agreed to that…and even Jamie R is biding his time with the opinion which he undoubtedly holds.

I’m still thinking in terms of our procuring a £10m manager and how such sage owners/chairman of Spurs and Chelscum can all be wrong…and that the great unwashed are actually correct in their assertion that AVB is a disaster.

I’d like some players back, please. So does AVB. He must be bloody desperate!

We’ll be ok and will probably do quite well with Parker, Kaboul, A&E and Dembele back.

I won’t be posting any football related missives on this thread as you’ve pretty much summed up everything I’ve been thinking in this post. Nice one.

This would be a better point if it wasn’t already a matter of fact that Abramovich effectively accepted he was wrong when he fired him. And if Levy had just a slightly better track record when it comes to hiring managers. Eh?

  • try says:

if ade didnt get sent off we had that game in the bag

we WILL do them at our place we WILL finish above them we WILL get champs league STAY POSITIVE.

and levy PLEASE give avb your full financial backing in the jan window (plus next summer) if he says we NEED a certain player then fricking get the cheque book out or this can NOT be considered fair.
