I Told You So!

Good evening.

Given the mood in the Spurs camp getting coherent information is a blessing. So a sincere thank you to ‘Mr S’ who kindly shared the news yesterday with us that the boss is going to get some proper support from Levy & Co. This manager isn’t going to be binned on a whim. He was selected for a host of reasons and it is ambitious to suggest that much aside from the poor bar steward’s resources have changed.

Daniel Levy remains behind the Portuguese boss and is ready to give him significant funds to spend in the transfer window.Villas-Boas wants a new left-back, central midfielder and a striker. – Daily Star

Tottenham’s chosen agents have already begun work on trying to lure the club’s top targets to London.

– Daily Mail

CSKA’s Russian Euro 2012 star Alan Dzagoev, 22 – a summer Spurs target – remains on Villas-Boas’ shortlist and Roma’s Bosnian Miralem Pjanic, 22, is a name being considered. Daily Star

Andre Villas-Boas will be handed £20million to revive Tottenham’s faltering Champions League ambitions.

Nothing leaks unless sanctioned is what we need to understand in relation today’s spoon fed newspapers who are running with Andre Villas-Boas getting not only time but cold hard cash in January.

If I hear booing, it will cause me pain in my soul… I do not think these pessimistic wastrels understand the club as some others do, forgive me for thinking we are a special club but that is what I feel. We might not have won dozens of titles but we have an essence few clubs can rival, I see us as a class removed from the likes of Chelsea fans and West Ham’s vile rabbles, we are slipping down the road, we risk becoming the latest example of the lowest common football supporting denominator!! I expect the boys to rally in the next week. – ‘Mr S’

A statement of support is fine but £20m might not even cover two players so great motivation to shift some of the deadwood.

  • Urbane Sturgeon says:

    .
The bottom line that appears to be taking shape seems to be that we may have to take a step or two backwards before taking how ever many forward.

It’s quite frustrating when we had a vague sort of top 4 roll going but that’s football. No one can properly begin to judge ABV% until the end of the season.

Jeez. That’s easy for you to say.

  • lordship lane drunk says:

£20 million is that it !lol Nah I’m playing Its good to hear this.

The dreaded vote of confidence. Are people really that scared that AvB may be sacked that we are wheeling this out?

In all honesty, I still think he deserves a bit of time. I think his football has been negative and frankly shite so far but admired his willingness to listen to the supporters and release the shackles a bit. Arsenal was Adebayors fault.

Thank fuck there were some supporters out there willing to stand up,boo and point him in the right direction. Heroes. I think he may have seen the glory.

But, his job his safe? Have a word with yourselves, are you new to the world of modern day football? A bad run of results and he will be gone, like every other manager at clubs that claim to have ambition. And why would you want a manager to stay on that his performing badly anyway?

Still. Too early for that. Lets fuck over the Spam and the bindippers and get the show back on the road.

      And again – 95% right (I don’t think booers are heroes ;-) ).

HH’s latest slab of ITK, claiming some kind of personal victory over the anti-AVB booer and the sensible, sober observer alike, is nothing more than a manifestation of his desperate desire to one day say ‘I told you so’, as is this nonsense about us needing to be a mid-table team again so we can become a top 4 one again later.

      • jolsgonemental says:

I dont think booers are heroes either.

But I am booed of the opposite view that patient and polite applause of dross is the best way to support your beloved football club.

I dont see any reason for showing displeasure and encouraging a change of direction or mindset. I maintain that the forcefulness of recent protests against style of football has led to a review of policy by me vB.

I quite like the fella and would like to see him succeed. But if results continue as they are it will show he man for the job. Bye bye which will be fair enough in my opinion.

Wheeling out votes of confidence seems to suggest he is closing to the door than I thought.

  • jolsgonemental says:

please explain why a step backwards is needed to go forward.

    Retarded desperate wishful thinking.

Start to go backwards and we will continue going backwards.

    • ELELEL says:

      I make you 100% right.

    • Urbane Sturgeon says:

      .
“please explain why a step backwards is needed to go forward.”

It isn’t. But in our case it’s begining to look like it might have to be that way. Have you taken a look at our league record this season so far? Top 5 form it ain’t. Let’s hope for a monumental turn around.

    • Matt says:

Don’t want to burst your bubble.. But the step back has already occurred with losing a manager and 2 of our 3 best players..

Dembele bridged this loss. Now AVB has settled in, as have some of the new players and others are now returning from injury, we can start to move forward again…

      Simple…
