Good afternoon. There is a discernible mumble doing the rounds it would appear that we have made serious enquiries about Arsenal’s Theo Walcott. Sure this suggestion has surfaced before. Every rag from the Wall St Journal to War Cry has a run at some stage this year. Another Arsenal contract running down so there’s a fortnight left on it. But in this instance this guy won’t be heading to United or City. He won’t be linked with a move to Barcelona. But does that mean we should look down our noses at him? I wouldn’t be in hurry to dismiss…

The Society of Black lawyers as I predicted, have excelled themselves. The Mark Clattennurk investigation has been abandoned by the cops. The Metroploitan Police were investigating this complaint as it was made by Peter Herbert of the Society of Black Lawyers. It is of note that nobody else reported this to old bill. Nobody.  The cops issued a statement saying: No victims have come forward’ and ‘without a victim and/or any evidence that any offence has been committed, the matter cannot currently be investigated. But of course Peter Herbert isn’t happy with this and he told BBC Radio 5 live:…

Writing a biography of a football club is a task that routinely generates the sort of thing that Marks & Spencer slip into their Christmas offer. A hateful generic deservedly destined never to be read.  So  when I was told of an impending biography on Spurs I replied, ‘Very good’ with the intonation you’d use at the dentist when you’ve just been told he’s identified two fillings that needed doing. Polite and on the faintly optimistic side of not bothered. Thank goodness Julie Welch was commissioned to pen The Biography of Tottenham Hotspur. This is a Tottenham treasure trove. I…

And so dear reader the pitfalls of consuming cheese prior to turning in. Longtime Tottingham target Leandro Dime Bar told Sao Paulo radio station UOL: “Every footballer dreams of playing at a club such as Real Madrid, but I am only 23 and there is plenty of time to take that step forward. “Now is not the moment to be thinking of playing in Europe, I just want to continue improving and scoring goals. “I have a contract with Porto Alegre, I love it here and do not feel the need to move away right now, although it is obvious…

Essentially this was a game where the quality of the opposition pushed and pressured the Starship Tottingham Hotspur to the point where you could hear Mr Scott cry from the ether, ‘She cannae take it, Captain!’ The frailties in the engine room were there for all to see. Dry ice shot out of the pipes, lights flashed and the camera man didn’t need wiggle the vertical hold button about, the pitch did actually tilt violently now and again. The inhabitants of the Blue Moon were a physically strong godless gang of vicious but talented bar stewards. We attempted to stun…

Good evening. Time for us to focus our thoughts on what is a massive, massive game. The list of those we failed to replace, the injured and the retired is well documented. The victory against Maribor was welcome of course but needs to be appreciated in the context of – this was an unremarkable Maribor. That said, it will create a feel good factor. That’s quite rightly how football works. But how brave will the boss be against the Champions? My suspicion is that the answer is ‘not too brave.’ I don’t believe he’ll play Hugo and I don’t believe…

Hello. Gamesweek 11 then. There have been some snide digs made on here about the quality of my predictions, questioning my understanding of this the beautiful game. Well let me share this with you. I was in my local bookies first thing this morning and Fred on the counter said that I am not only one of his best customers but also one of his favourite. And this is from a man who is both a hugely successful businessman. And a mason. Arsenal vs Fulham Could they? I think they could. Fulham could get a result here. Only goal difference…

Good morning. Apologies for resuming normal service. Maribor eh? Word has it a football match broke out. One foul-up, 3 goals and a Street Fighter 2 Turbo move from the Ginger Ninja himself that was worth the price of admission alone. The fat may well have been well and truly chewed out by now, so I would simply add the following: Hugo was spritely, Walker was unconvincing despite the low scale oppo, Awesome Dawson was moderately awesome, Verhonkytongts was quality, Naughton looked every inch a bloke being played out of position, Azza was his default setting of ‘a bit underwhelming’,…

Sieg Heil. Team selection for this evening leaves little to the imagination. That said I’m unconvinced that the boss will go with my line up. I’ve based my picks less on the opponents tonight and more on the ever looming tie against Manchester City. If this ‘plan’ of playing the best and the brightest of the kids needs a boost, then that’s down to manager to use his bench. My side is designed not to harm us after the full time whistle has blown. Did I already say that? Anyone you can’t see on the board above needs to be…
