Good evening viewers. I feel an apology is well in order for the slight delay in the release of this week’s Hotspurs Half Hour Spurs podcast cum radio show thingy. This has been caused by circumstances beyond our control and I can only attempt to assure you all that there is no need to panic. No need to fret. We’re on the case. The good news is that  …not are only the first two shows still available [see below]  …but we have lined up even more truly stellar fans from all over the world for future episodes. Are you a…

Good afternoon ladies. A journalist for Russia Today a Mr Aleksey Yaroshevsky told talkSPORT earlier that he understands from his Ukrainian sources that we have agreed a deal with Shaktar Donetsk for the services of Willian. Whilst certain sectors of the media were quick to run with the old, ‘rejected bid’ spiel this may well prove yet again to be a case journos simply making stuff to fill column inches. Is he worth £20m? At this stage my immediate response has to be who cares. A long term target of the boss. Get the boy in. *** I see that…

Good morning. So Shakattack Don’t Ask have turned down an initial bid for Willian. What a shock. With four days to go prices aren’t going to be reduced, are they? On a positive note I’m hearing that the slow burn negotiations for Birmingham City’s Jack Butland have advanced. Anyway, Modric is done and we’ve gone into partnershhip with Real Madrid. Does that make Spurs the John Lewis of football? I could live with that. Anyone know the Latin for ‘Never Knowingly Undersold’ ? What does this actually mean? Who knows, but it’s all rather exciting. A Ronaldo loan would be…

Good morning. Straight to business then and I do hope those of you feverishly composing letters in green ink from ‘outraged consumers’ to Levy & Co. this morning are will remember to thank them for at least the first hours worth of football yesterday. As I commented yesterday much of our play was up their with the gods. Slick and dare I say it, scintillating. The passing and movement was Barcelonaesque. West Brom couldn’t get possession. They couldn’t get more than two passes together. They couldn’t catch us.  Who could have known that the removal of van Der Vaart would…

Good evening. I have no faith.I might have thought I had when I was a child. But it’s gone. Kishna, born 1000 yrs BC, son of a carpenter, was baptised in river. Mithra, born 600 BC curiously enough on December 25th, performed miracles, was resurrected on the 3rd day. He was known as The Lamb, The Way, The Truth, The LIght The Saviour, The Messiah. The big hitter though has to be the ‘rather popular’ Egyptian god Horus who in 1280 BC was known the son of Osiris. He was also born to a virgin, baptised in a river by…

Good evening. Here are this week’s football matches and my hair-brained hunches on how they might pan out. Swansea vs West Ham The Porn Baron XI got off to a flyer last weekend thrashing Aston Villa to within an inch of their lives, 1-0. Tomorrow they travel to last week’s coupon busters Swansea City. Five goals they put past Mark Hughes’ mob. Five. If Swansea are capable of replicating even some of their home form from last season I can see the Ammers getting walloped. Prediction? 3-1. Aston Villa vs Everton Villa should be served a winding up order by…

Good morning. Well the Rafa to HSV story was as you read here and seemingly only here rubbish. More proof that the hysteria employed during transfer windows only rivals the lack of thought. So West Brom indoors it is. If you cast your eye down the Baggies squad you see a who’s who of journeymen and nearly men. Their ability to do more than survive is explained  when you know their last manager was Roy Hodgson and their current on Steve Clarke. Two very traditional English football managers and Clarke is clearly planning on upholding the principles of discipline and…

Good evening. The boss gave a presser earlier in the day here are my thoughts upon it. Everybody tells you that modern football is rubbish, I’d argue we’re making real progress – if only in the evolution of football speak or as my old man called it, ‘footballees.’ Where we were once told of endless poorly parrots, spoke to men who claimed to have orbited the earth’s moon and of course more recently survived The Day Of The Triffics, we are now living in an age where Michael Dawson is recognised as being ‘a player of an immensely human dimenson.’…

Good morning. So, Rafa off to Hamburg SV they say. Well, they rehash. Looking at the source article in De Telegraaf it seems more a case of Frank Arnesen tapping up/ making a public plea to his employer to rustle up the required readies. Is the deal as close as The Daily Mail suggest? Mmmn. I’d say to claim this is at best ambitious. De Telegraaf says that Rafa ‘will almost certainly return to his former club HSV’. But then follows this up by adding, ‘only an agreement between Tottenham Hotspur and HSV is standing in Hamburg’s way.’ This is…
