Good morning. A bad beginning makes a bad ending. Eurpides said that. He was right. Two instances were brought to my attention yesterday of Chelsea fans singing about Auschwitz and hissing on the London Underground. Both accounts are without doubt completely credible and one shared with me by a disgusted Arsenal fan. In the stadium the interruption of the minutes silence was indeed disrupted, but not by a small ‘minority’ as CFC would like to deliberately masquerade it. The chants and cat calls came from the upper tier of Wembley. They were protracted and clearly came from two or three…

Welcome to your weekend.  The boys from White Hart Lane vs the Cheatski cads it is then. The tactics board here was based upon the grocer’s maxim, ‘all the best gear at the front’ and that is 100% how we need to approach this one. Our defence is in tatters, ribbons. I understand we are waiting to see if Mr Herriot passes Ledders as fit. My fear is that Arry will look at his options and with Kaboul crocked worry that we’re a bit challenged on the height front. Other options include Half Nelsen, the boy Rose and Khumalo. That’s…

This is what managing a football team is about.  Belief. Belief based upon understanding and valuing the assets on the books and endlessly instilling inspirational doses of that belief into the players. We have been so widely acclaimed for the way we’ve played this season that many (I actually mean most of us) have had to invoke the old Derek Jameson line, ‘Do they mean us?!’  The quality, imagination and spirit of the Tottingham play has been frequently sensational. The boy Bale can leave any right back in the world needing psychiatric care. Azza is a wing heeled electric dynamo. Modric…

Good afternoon. I have bad news. The chimps didn’t make it. Arry instead has struck a new vein of Peter Principle gold.  “People forget where Tottenham should be at times. They have won two Carling Cups since 1991, the average finishing position until four or five years ago was probably about 10th – our form is fantastic.” “There is not a lot between the two teams, but they have the medals to show for it.They have been there and done it all in the last few years.” It is beyond my wildest dreams that we’ve landed such a gifted motivator…

News breaking this morning that a team of highly trained chimpanzee monkees from London Zoo have been dispatched to a private address in Sandbanks, Dorset in an attempt to save a man that experts have described as, ‘clinically stupid’. The chimps are dressed in medical outfits and are said to be experts at larking about, pulling crazy faces, making refreshing cups of tea and moving pianos. Spurs supremo Arry Redshnapps was thought to be in good shape mentally, but a series of ridiculous media incidents have acted as a catalyst to events and now every second counts if Spurs are…

Tottenham enjoy a rich history of winning trophies. The feeling of having seen off so many rivals is exhilarating to put it mildly. The journey to lifting the a cup is never straightfroward. The focus these days for many is more about the Champions League. That tournament’s cache, not to mention cash rewards has turned the modern game on its head. The UEFA Cup, re-branded the Europa Cup is sadly tainted. But for those of us who followed Spurs before ‘last week’, the magic of trophies foreign and domestic is difficult to forget. Football League Champions 1950-51, 1960-61.  F.A. Cup Winners 1900-01,…

The following is an exclusive extract from the players’ meeting held at Chigwell today by Club Captain Ledley King. Given the very nature of this highly sensitive material, elements of it maybe inaccurate and it may also be partially or completely fabricated. Ledley: Alright lads I fink you all know why I’ve called you all here… Luka: You have new sexy film on telephone? *Makes horse neighing noise* PNB : *low voice from back of group* Go straight to Broadmoor, do not pass Go, do not collect £200. Ledley: Yeah,  so er anyway we need to talk about the Norwich game…

With Steve Perryman, Ossie Ardiles, Ricky Villa, Tony Galvin, Paul Miller, Graham Roberts, Garry Brooke, Tony Parkes, George Mazzon and Peter Shreeve. It was the era that I joined up and this is the only book you’ll need to recapture the unique mood of the time. The only question it fails to answer is, ‘Did Garth Crooks talk like that then too?’ They were the last great Spurs team. A tight-knit group of London lads laced with Latin creativity, Yorkshire grit and Scottish genius, playing for a few hundred quid a week and the glory of putting on the Tottenham shirt.…

Good morning. Having relentlessly shredded our manager like he was going into a Hannibal Lecter type coleslaw …we have an FA Cup semi final looming. Your Cheatski has no regard for human life, not even of his own. For this reason men, I want to impress upon you the need for extreme watchfulness. The enemy may come individually, or in strength. He may even appear in the form of Fernando Torres. But however we must stop him. apologies to Gen. Jack D Ripper Cheatski will be looking at Spurs and licking their lips at the very thought. And it’s difficult…
