Good morning. It was made pretty bleedin’ obvious to me that there is a place for Tottingham fans like me when it comes to competitions like this. Behind glass in a museum. But in the interests of getting on with it here’s the rating based upon the shifts put in and not the idiotic strategy applied to the tournament.   One or two good moments when called upon.  Like his spirit. Needs to watch his temper.  Don’t cha wish your right back was A&E?   Needs to be loaned out. See a bit of the world.  Stellar goal, but is he a…

Good morning. So tell me, is the blood that courses through your veins as all fired up and zingy as mine? I knew it I knew I just knew it. The very first of our intrepid fans will have landed in the Emerald Isle after successfully negotiating the smiling eastern European assassins determined to prove that their hand luggage won’t fit in the frame. Slowly but unbeaten they emerge from the psychological warfare of Ryan Air’s in-flight shouty sales blitz.  You won’t need to be a modern day Henry Higgins to know you’re in Tallaght. Jump on the old Daniel Day and…

Good afternoon. Shamrock Rovers away it is then and a small but hardy gang of Lillywhites will be braving airports various and venturing towards a destination the natives call… Tallaghtfornia. Dublin has considerable charms but these have been tarnished somewhat by the phenomenal financial drain of the city even to a visitor attempting to keep to the most modest of budgets.  I used to live there and am a frequent visitor to this day, so there’s no malice from me just based upon a long weekend that went wrong. It’s horrifically expensive across the board. You’re all adults and getting…

Good morning. And hear me out. The Daily SiegHeil is running with the tale that Fernando Torres ‘the artiste formerly known as Liverpool’s number nine’ could be an affordably priced casualty of the AVB revolution at Second Hand Fridge. I say we ship him in. The old phrase, ‘form is temporary but class is permanent’ is actually cobblers. What people crave is consistency. Let’s face it, how many players have we had in recent years who wrote us endless IOU’s but failed to deliver? My theory in relation to Torres’ career going toilet-wards is simple. The players didn’t want him.…

Good morning. The AGM is underway and thanks to the power of Twitter some info is already out. @BenPearceSpurs is aSports journalist covering Spurs and other teams/sportspeople for the Tottenham Journal, Ham&High, Hackney Gazette and London24.com. In summary as far as the England job and our fearless manager are concerned, Levy stated that Arry has 18 months remaining on his contract. An interesting figure that I’m pleased to see in the public domain at last is that the failed Olympic Stadium bid cost the Club £1.7m. So to all the Moaning Minnies out there, please look at this figure in…

After the whole Chris Foy business yesterday there has been much online guffawing at Tottenham supporters over that fact that some cyclist bloke called Chris Hoy had become hilariously involved in a typo driven piece of confusion.

But what wasn’t made clear is that Arsenal and Manchester City dummies played a more than helping hand in matters.

Good morning. It’s all over the front page,  Foy gives you ref rage. The live scores are in, it’s all over bar the shouting and it seems that could go on for days. Yes it was only one game but my take is that as Tottingham fans of no short measure we went – in our minds at least – from title contenders to a bunch of ponces that buckle the first time we face a bit of bustle. The Foy Factor was a disaster. Of course it was. And it’s a sad indictment that referees like this are still…

Good evening. This just in from one Edith Scrunge, a part time domestic who does a number of public toilets in Stoke City centre and occasionally agency work which tonight happens to include the city’s flagship branch, the Britannia stadium. Exclusively Edith told HH this evening, ‘ I don’t normally like to interfere, but my Ray – our eldest – said if I was to tell you about what I found, I could possibly get £30,000 tax free cash off you.’ What started off as an innocent item of lost property has now spiraled into being  a key exhibit in what…

Good evening, I remember going to night clubs in the late eighties and giving men who looked like Stoke players a really wide berth. They were pasty faced behemoths with glassy eyed, heavily booze sedated glares. Occasionally they focused upon their prey and those daft enough to meet their gaze were too frequently met with an immediate threat of violence. The first half was near unwatchable. And I’m not whining just because we trudged off two goals to the worse. It was anti football all the way. Stoke hoofed and Huthed their way again and again into our penalty area.…
